Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Molly Simpson executed the following actions during the May 26, 2015 Commission meeting held at the District's Bridgeport office:
Approved an interconnection and service agreement with McDougal & Sons, Inc. as required by the Customer Service Policies, Section 37. (15-097)
Authorized a rate adjustment for a professional services agreement with RH2 Engineering as allowed by contract. RH2 Engineering provides general engineering support to the Electric Distribution System. The increase is approximately 14% and is the first rate adjustment since 2010. (15-098)
Affirmed addendum No. 1 to bid document 15-11-W, Methow River sediment control groin restoration project. This specifies how to remove riparian vegetation in one area. (15-099)
Approved change order No. 39 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. This incorporates changes in the scope of work for the next nine units to reflect conditions found in the first unit, rates for labor and off-site shop rates not included in the original agreement. This change increases the contract $740,430, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $162,461,539. (15-100)
Authorized a professional service agreement with the Okanagan Nation Alliance for the purchase and installation of a Pit-Tag-Detection array in Shingle Creek. This was approved by the Wells HCP Tributary Committee to monitor fish colonization. (15-101)
Approved Issuance of Wells Hydroelectric Refunding Bonds, Series 2015A, 2015B and 2015C and approving Terms and Conditions of the bonds and delegated authority to approve the final Terms. The District plans to issue $55 million of Wells Hydroelectric Refunding Bonds, Series 2015. The Bonds will be priced on May 28th for a June 25th closing. (15-102)
Heard a report on the Douglas County Community Network. The network currently has 2,742 end users.
Canceled the June 8, 2015 Commission Meeting due to Commissioner's schedule conflicts.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 22, 2015 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
