Douglas PUD Special Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Ron Skagen, Jim Davis and Molly Simpson executed the following actions during the March 5, 2015 Special Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Approved amending the transport rights letter agreement with the American Movie Classics Company, LLC to include BBC Channel content. Necessary due to ownership change. (15-044)

Affirmed addendum No. 1 to bid document 14-19-W, Wells Hatchery Modernization. The District received several requests from potential bidders for a second site inspection which was held February 27, 2015. (15-045)

Authorized a call for bids under bid document 15-05-W, resurface the access road at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The access road at the Wells Hydroelectric Project has deteriorated and needs to be repaired. (15-046)

Approved a call for bids under bid document 15-10-W, provide and install ponds 3 and 4 bird exclosures at Wells Hatchery. The Wells Hatchery has a need to prevent predation by piscivorous birds on juvenile steelhead in rearing ponds. (15-047)

Authorized change order No. 4 to contract 13-06-W,  480V circuit breaker installation for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Necessary to extend the completion date of the contract to April 30, 2015. There is no change to the total cost of the contract. (15-048)

Approved change order No. 4 to contract 13-01-W, fire protection and service water system upgrades for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Necessary to extend the completion date of the contract to March 31, 2015. There is no change to the total cost of the contract. (15-049)

Heard the bid opening results of bid document 15-02-W, addition of meeting room at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All bids exceeded the engineer's estimate by more than the amount allowable under state law.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 23, 2015 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
