Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the August 11, 2014 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:
Approved acceptance of work and final payment for the first year to Asplundh Tree Expert Co. under contract 13-12-D, provide distribution tree trimming services. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet bid specifications. (14-100)
Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to WESCO Distributing, Inc. under contract 14-05-D, supply and deliver 4/0 and 750 kcmil EPR primary underground cable. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet bid specifications. (14-101)
Approved vendor selection and a professional services agreement for on-call meter reader services with Accu-Read Inc. Reliable meter reading is important to the continued operation of the District. Because of meter technology and staffing changes the District has need for temporary on-call meter reading services. (14-102)
Authorized change order No. 2 to contract 14-01-W, furnish and install uninterruptable power supply. Changes include an additional 400 amp panel and replacement of conductors between the bypass transformer and the UPS. This change increase the not to exceed cost $3,485, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $214,482. (14-103)
Approved the acceptance of an engagement letter with KPMG LLP for the audit of the Wells Hydroelectric Project fiscal year ended August 31, 2014. KPMG LLP has provided Douglas PUD with consistent certified public accounting services. (14-104)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 25, 2014 at the District's Bridgeport office.
