Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the July 28, 2014 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Awarded Office Engineer Chris Curtis with his twenty-five year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Chris on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his years of service. Chris thanked the Commission and said "It has gone by rapidly. I have enjoyed working with good people."

Affirmed change order No. 1 to contract 14-04-D, East Wenatchee warehouse roof membrane replacement. Changes include fixing existing understructure. This change increase the not to exceed cost $640, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $235,627. (14-094)

Authorized retirement and disposal of computer and printing equipment. These items are non-usable, of no value, and unsuitable for sale at a surplus auction. Due to environmental concerns, electronic equipment must be recycled through designated recycling facilities or through manufacturer recycling programs. (14-095)

Approved signal transport agreement with Turner Network Sales, Inc.   These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (14-096)

Awarded contract 14-10-W, Rehabilitation of the Intake Trash Racks at the Wells Hydroelectric Project to Extreme Coatings, Inc. the lowest responsive bidder. (14-097)

Affirmed change order No. 1 to contract 14-01-W, furnish and install uninterruptable power supply. Changes include additional power supply for uninterruptable power supply bypass. This change increase the not to exceed cost $11,588, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $210,667. (14-098)

Authorized professional service agreement with Open Access Technology International, Inc. under contract 13-15-W, provide energy scheduling and accounting software. (14-099)

Heard a report on the recent electric reliability compliance audit field work. The audit team was complimentary of District staff and records.  The results of the audit work will be forthcoming.

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. August 11, 2014 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
