Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the March 31, 2014 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:
Awarded M. Vail Company contract 14-04-D, East Wenatchee warehouse roof membrane replacement. M. Vail was the lowest responsive bidder. (14-035)
Authorized amendment No. 1 to professional service agreement with the DOH Associates, P.S., under RFQ 12-29-W, architectural and engineering services for the installation of a standby diesel generator. Necessary to incorporate the increased scope of design, this amendment will increase the not to exceed cost $48,260 for a total not to exceed cost of $123,260 and extend the conclusion date to December 31, 2015. Approved change order No. 1 to contract 13-01-W, fire protection and service water system upgrades for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Changes include decreasing zones of INERGEN system and other changes necessary for proper installation of the work. These changes decrease the not to exceed cost $157,788, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $3,824,212. (14-037)
Authorized change order No. 34 to contract 06-41-W, generator rebuild for unit refurbishment for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. Changes include procurement of generator air coolers. These changes will increases the contract amount by $117,435 bringing the total not to exceed limit to $155,423,210. (14-038)
Provided notice of estimated excess compensation billings. RCW 41.50.152 requires employers to give notice, at a public meeting, of the employer's estimate of the excess compensation billings. The District's estimate of excess compensation billings is $250,000 for its Public Employees' Retirement System Plan 1 employees who are expected to retire during the Collective Bargaining Agreement expiring on March 31, 2017.
