Douglas PUD Commission Meeting Report

Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the February 18, 2014 Commission meeting held at the District's East Wenatchee office:

Awarded Meter Reader Keith Paxton, with his twenty-year service award. Commissioner Heminger thanked Keith on behalf of the citizens of Douglas County for his many years of service. Keith thanked the Commission.

Authorized acceptance of work and final payment to EPC Services for work under contract 13-16-D, perform on-site battery testing services.  All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (14-019)

Approved addendum No. 1 to bid document 14-01-W, furnish and install uninterruptable power supply. The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. (14-020)

Authorized negotiation of a professional service agreement under RFQ 13-15-W, provide energy scheduling and accounting software. (14-021)

Approved a professional service agreement with Columbia Research Specialists LLC for pikeminnow removal (2014-2016) and Burbot monitoring (2014). The contract is not to exceed $130,000 per year for pikeminnow removal and $40,000 for one year of Burbot monitoring. (14-022)

Authorized change order No. 1 to contract 12-30-D, professional design services for warehouse roof membrane replacement. This change order will extend time for completion of work to December 31, 2014 with no increase in contract amount.  (14-023)

Approved amendment No. 1 to professional service agreement with Anchor QEA, LLC. Necessary to cover additional workload due to year one studies required by the new Wells Project license. This amendment will increase the not to exceed limit $76,500 to a total not to exceed limit of $176,500. (14-024)

The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for February 24, 2014 at the District's East Wenatchee office. This meeting will be executive session only with no action items.
