Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the December 9, 2013 Commission meeting held at the District's Bridgeport office:
Opened bids under bid document 13-06-W, 480V circuit breaker installation for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The apparent low bid was received from American Electrical Services, Inc. of Buckley, WA. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Approved renewal of general liability and automobile insurance coverage with Ace American Insurance Co. with a premium of $143,000. (13-193)
Authorized change order No. 7 to contract 12-14-D, construct Douglas to Rapids 230 kV Transmission Line. Changes include re-seeding and re-vegetation that was not part of the scope of work. These changes increase the not to exceed cost $1,310, bringing the total not to exceed amount to $4,407,969. (13-194)
Authorized amendment No. 4 to the video transport agreement with Viacom Media Networks, formerly MTV Networks, Inc. This amendment will extend the agreement to December 31, 2016. These agreements are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (13-195)
Approved Douglas PUD's participation in the Public Generating Pool budget for 2014. Douglas PUD's share of the 2014 budget is $30,000. (13-196)
Authorized a legal services agreement with Attorney Garfield R. Jeffers in effect through December 31, 2014. (13-197)
Canceled the regularly scheduled Commission meetings of December 30, 2013 and January 6, 2014.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. December 16, 2013 at the District's East Wenatchee office.
