GENERAL INFORMATION: The successful candidate should possess a Bachelor of Science degree in electrical engineering or be able to demonstrate an equivalent understanding of electrical power theory gained through related experience. Candidates should be able to demonstrate a working understanding and experience with State and Federal regulatory requirements related to the Bulk Electric System. Applicants should be able to clearly communicate verbally and in writing. A current Washington State Driver’s License is a requirement for this position.
The Compliance Engineer will work under the supervision of the Wells Department Chief Engineer or his designee. Duties will include engineering responsibilities for demonstrating and documenting compliance with NERC standards and other regulatory requirements related to electric utility system operations.
This is an administrative position and is, therefore, not subject to any of the conditions contained in the Collective Bargaining Agreement other than those benefits that apply to all employees.
