Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Jim Davis and Ron Skagen executed the following actions during the June 2, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Opened bids submitted for bid document 08-27-W, battery testing and maintenance. The apparent low bid was received from Industrial Battery Systems of Seattle. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Opened bids submitted for bid document 08-28-D, 144 count fiber optic cable. The apparent low bid was received from Codale Electric supply, Inc of Orem, UT. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Awarded Northwest Boring Company, Inc of Woodinville, contract 08-18-W, warehouse pipe boring and jacking. Northwest Boring, with a bid price of $116,444, was the lowest responsive bidder. (08-131)
Authorized issuance of notice to proceed for the third unit generator work under contract 06-41-W with Toshiba International Corporation. (08-132)
Declared miscellaneous items of personal property as surplus to the needs of the District, and authorized the sale of those materials by public auction. The sale, handled by the Northwest Auction Service, is scheduled for Saturday, June 14 at the Chelan County Fairgrounds. (08-133)
Canceled the regular meeting scheduled for June 23, 2008.
Recessed until 5:00 pm Wednesday, June 4, 2008 at the Wenatchee Roaster for a dinner meeting with Patrick Moore Ph.D.
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. June 9, 2008 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
