Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the April 5, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with grounds maintenance. There were two bids received with bids at $261,567 and $274,964. Corrigan’s Spray Service of Chelan was the apparent low bid. Estimated to cost $287,476, all bids will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Opened bids to bids to provide Douglas PUD with replacement pond covers at the Methow Hatchery. One bid was received for the contract from Alaska Structures of Kirkland with a bid price of $169,726. The District’s estimate was $145,728. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized acceptance of all work performed by GDCD under contract to provide Douglas County PUD with miscellaneous conduit, vaults, electrical and concrete work. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (04-68)
Awarded Jim’s Pacific Sterling of Spokane a contract to provide Douglas PUD with a 4X4 cab and chassis. Jim’s Pacific Sterling, with a bid price of $80,906, was the lowest responsive bidder. (04-69)
Formally affirmed the bid to purchase two diesel generators at auction. Douglas PUD purchased two 1.8 MW Caterpillar generators to provide power for station service at the Wells Project in an emergency. (04-70)
Adopted the amended and restated Voluntary Employees’ Beneficiary Association medical expense plan. The changes made by the Association’s trustees do not affect Douglas PUD employees. (04-71)
Approved an agreement for professional services with Central Washington University Department of Anthropology for the purpose of cataloging artifacts in the University’s repository. This contract is not to exceed $20,000. (04-72)
