Douglas County PUD Commissioners Lynn Heminger, Ron Skagen and Jim Davis executed the following actions during the March 3, 2008 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters office:
Authorized addendum No. 1, bid document 08-02-W, fire protection project for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The pre-bid conference with potential bidders revealed necessary revisions and clarifications to the bid document. (08-35)
Opened bids submitted for bid document 08-01-D, single-phase padmount distribution transformers. The apparent low bid was received from Central Moloney of Pine Bluff, AR. The bids will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
No bids were submitted for bid document 08-05-D, six 4x4 cab and chassis (19,000 lbs. GVWR).
Opened bid submitted for bid document 08-02-W – fire protection project for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. The only bid was received from Garco Construction, Inc. of Spokane. The bid will be evaluated prior to a recommendation for contract award.
Extended contract 07-09-D, distribution dock crew for additional one-year period as allowed in the contract. (08-36)
Authorized a call for bids under bid document 08-03-D, distribution electrical and communication dock crew(s). Necessary to assist District crews with overhead, underground and communication projects. (08-37)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-04-D, crew facility office furnishings.(08-38)
Approved a call for bids under bid document 08-09-D, Withrow Water Works Improvements Project. (08-40)
Authorizing Interlocal Agreement with Mason County PUD 3 for communication tower and colocation space. (08-41)
Approved video transport agreements with television networks. These agreement are required by most networks to receive and transport the signal over the Douglas County Community Network. (08-42)
Authorized the WECC budget for year 2008. The District’s portion of the budget is $50,001.52. (08-43)
Approved a sole source purchase of passive integrated transponder (PIT) tags from Biomark, Inc. The 20,000 tags will be used by the Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife and the District for various studies. (08-44)
Authorized a facility use agreement with Confederated Tribes and Bands of the Yakama Nation. (08-45)
Authorizing engagement letter with Cordell, Neher & Company for third party administration services. (08-46)
The next meeting of the Commission is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. March 10, 2008 at the District’s Bridgeport office.
