Douglas County PUD Commissioners Jim Davis, Lynn Heminger and Mike Doneen executed the following actions during the March 29, 2004 Commission meeting held at the East Wenatchee Headquarters building:
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with a 4X4 cab and chassis. There were three bids received for the contract with bid prices ranging from $80,906 to $99,787. The lowest bid was received from Jim’s Pacific Sterling of Spokane. Estimated to cost $106,750, all bids will be evaluated prior to recommendation.
Opened bids to provide Douglas PUD with clamming services for the Wells Hydroelectric Project. One bid was received for the contract from Tunnel Hill Granite of Chelan with a bid price of $122,900. The District’s estimate was $293,000. The bid will be evaluated prior to award recommendation.
Authorized an addendum to the bid document for conduit and vault installation on Badger Mountain Road. This addendum provides corrected bid schedules, special conditions and specifications and sets the bid opening date at April 19, 2004. (04-60)
Approved an agreement for sharing costs of Mid-Columbia Hourly Coordination. The parties to the agreement are Chelan, Douglas, and Grant County PUDs and the Bonneville Power Administration. (04-61)
Approved renewal of fiduciary and employee benefit insurance with American International Group (AIG). (04-62)
Approved the acceptance of all work performed by Pacific Breakers working under contract to provide Douglas PUD with Station Service Circuit Breakers at the Wells Hydroelectric Project. All work under the contract has been completed and determined to meet the bid specifications. (04-63)
Established procedures to allow the District to participate in auctions as allowed by RCW 39.30.045. (04-64)
Authorized an addendum to the bid document for grounds maintenance. This addendum clarifies the location for the application of pre-emergent herbicides. (04-65)
Authorized a change order for the contract with Hale and Long, General Contractors to supply Douglas PUD with a headquarters addition. The changes cover acoustical wall panels in the server room and stairwell, repair cracks on top of existing headquarters parapet wall, and repair damaged exterior insulation on the vehicle storage building. The cost of all the changes is $45,403.75, raising the total project cost from $3,692,230 to $3,737,634. (04-66)
Approved a land use permit for Russell Mahan. A new boat dock and existing landscaping will be allowed on District land with this permit. (04-67)
